Kate Murray has served as Town Supervisor, Clerk and as a state assemblywoman.
As Clerk, “Kate’s firsts” included:
- Town Hall’s one-stop passport facility.
- Mobile passport service.
- Document / record imaging (added security, reduced paper).
- On-site LIRR parking permit program.
Kate gained the trust of neighbors-
- Built L.I.’s first renewable energy park.
- Built the Malone – Mulhall Recreation Center at Camp ANCHOR for kids with special needs.
- Protected neighbors from unsustainable development.
Kate earned the highest Wall Street credit ratings available for her fiscal management.
Kate froze or reduced town taxes in 4 out of her last 5 budgets as Supervisor.
